What are some of the main things the Kitchen Stick can do?

The Kitchen Stick was made to grate, juice, pulverise, mix, smash, mix, stir,... We use it to mix our spices, grate our garlic and ginger, juice our lemons, mix our oil and herbs, and we're sure there's more you could do too!

How to safely clean the Kitchen Stick & Bowl?

Use a mild soap and water to wash the items, but be careful not to soak or submerge the wooden bowl. If you have stuck on-bits, a lingering colour or smell in the bowl, try a sprinkle of coarse salt and lemon juice. Rinse and towel dry immediately and let it air-dry upside down.


How do I keep smells and stains from lingering in the bowl?

To keep the bowl in good condition, we recommend using a food-safe mineral oil, beeswax, or cutting board oil to maintain your bowl. Our favourite is the Walrus Cutting Board Oil. Cover the inside and outside of the bowl, letting the oil soak in for a few hours or overnight. Then wipe off any excess. This will make the bowl easier to clean, and keep the wood from drying out, cracking, or absorbing too much from what you grind.

How do I grate safely?

Keep your fingers curled in and away from the grating surface. Move slowly and with control.

Do you sell the bowl or stick separately?

No. The Kitchen Stick and Bowl are not sold separately.
