The Butter Crock is designed to keep your butter fresh, cool, and spreadable. It comes as a two-piece ceramic set, made of a large cup, and a smaller Butter Cup. To fill the Butter Crock, take softened butter (about two sticks) and pack it into the small cup. Fill the larger cup with about a 1/4 cup of water and then turn the lid face-down into the water. The water level will rise around the inner cup, sealing off the butter and preventing any spoilage. Change the water every few days to keep it fresh.
