Batik Linen Care

Batik Linen Care

Texture and pattern can go a long way in creating a feeling at your dining table. We designed our Batik Linens with this in mind.

First Use

Follow the washing instructions below to get rid of any wrinkles upon first use.

Washing

Traditional, high-quality batik tends to be quite colourfast, but some fading or softening is normal over time. To help maintain colour, always wash batik linens in cold water, either by hand or machine wash on gentle cycle. Use a mild, colour-safe detergent with like colours. Do not use bleach.

Drying

Air dry in the shade to prevent fading from direct sunlight. Machine drying will soften the fabric but may cause slight shrinkage. Iron on high heat to remove wrinkles.

Warranty

Each Batik Linen piece is handmade, and therefore slight differences in colour and pattern are to be welcomed.

Matheson guarantees its products against manufacturing defects and shipping damage for 30 days after delivery. If you notice any issues, please contact us immediately.

Issues caused by regular use or failure to follow care instructions may not be covered. Read our full return policy here.
